In a previous lesson entitled “Overcoming Evil with Good “we looked at Scripture; in Matthew 5 : 8-48; Romans 12:21, and James 4:7, We discussed how to combat the enemy. We learned how to live out the bible lesson “treating people differently than they treat you”. In this complementary lesson we look at how to combat the enemy. The Bible says in Ephesians 6:10 (NASB):
Eph 6:10. Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might.
Eph 6:11. Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.
Eph 6:12. For our struggle is not against [fn]flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
We often concentrate on people (or the person) who has offended, hurt, insulted, etc..etc.…But the Bible teachers that there are spiritual forces that are work in this world. But we (the Believer in Christ) know that God is in charge of everything and as such we have confidence in his salvation. Our scripture for today is 1 Peter 5:7-11; Luke 11:24 (Psalms 9; John 8:32; Ps 116:16; 2 Corinthians 3:17; Rev 20:1-3; Rev 21:3-4

I used a Fairy tale to explain today’s lesson because the truth is not difficult. Jesus said in, Mat 13:13
“Therefore I speak to them in parables; because while seeing they do not see, and while hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.
Jesus used parables to open the mind of the listener to the truth. I pray your eyes are open today to the simple truth-you can overcome evil. Stop focusing on the person and know the Spirit of Evil is the enemy and he wants you give up!! But learn to trust God and Fight in His Spirit and with his Word.
